If my life had a personalised license plate what would it say?

Standard

I have been fascinated with some of the cars I have seen lately with personalised number plates. At the beginning of the year I saw ‘Ouch’ driving in front of me. I speculated as to whether the owner was a dentist or perhaps a hit man. Yesterday when stuck in traffic going home I sat behind ‘ashtash’ – my mind began to wonder of the owner was a tobacconist, a pipe smoker are perhaps worked at the crematorium.

As I lay awake last night I thought what would my personal number plate be? What 7 letters could sum up what I want people to know about me and who I am? I decided that perhaps I would need a car like James Bond’s car that was actioned last year for charity – it come complete with a revolving number plate, perhaps handy for avoiding speeding tickets but also useful for letting your license plate reflect your mood. So what plate could I have?

Here are some of my suggestions:

  •   ‘sinner’

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

  •  ‘friend’

John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

  •  ‘Temple’

1 Corinthians 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

  •  ‘Chosen’

John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

What license plate does your life bear today? How do you want people to understand you today?

  1. oh, I like CHOSEN! that is good! Mine would be awake or get joy. I love both of those phrases!

I saw a car the other day with the license plate “gotgas”. now that really makes you wonder about the driver! lol

  2. What a post to read right after putting the kids to bed all by myself {it’s daddy’s job 6 nights a week!}. Makes me think but reading through the comments gave me a good laugh, too. :o)
